January: Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Every January, we host our Annual General Meeting, a great opportunity to reflect on the past season, celebrate our achievements, and distribute certificates and dividends to participating allotment sites.
Join us as we look back, plan ahead, and recognize the hard work of our community!
February: Learn About Composting
With spring around the corner, it’s the perfect time to get your compost ready for the growing season! Join us to see how we make compost on-site and learn the essentials of turning food and garden waste into nutrient-rich soil.
March: Potato Day
Join us at the end of March to learn all about potatoes and help us plant them at Grove Nursery. Get hands-on experience and take home seed potatoes to grow your own!
April-May: Planting out day
Join us this spring to learn how to grow healthy seedlings and successfully transplant them into the ground. Get hands-on experience and tips to give your plants the best start for the season ahead!
June: Summer Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop
Join us in June for a hands-on fruit tree pruning workshop! Learn the best techniques for summer pruning to keep your trees healthy, productive, and thriving.
July: Market Stalls Kick-Off!
July is all about getting our market stalls up and running! While we take a break from workshops, we welcome all volunteers to join us in making the season a success. Come lend a hand and be part of bringing fresh, local produce to the community!
August: Open day and bugs hunt
Join us for our Open Day at Grove Nursery, where visitors can discover our project, learn about volunteering, and see how they can get involved in our market stalls.
Mid-summer is also the perfect time for a bug hunt! Explore our plot and pond to spot the fascinating insects that call our space home.

September: End-of-Season Barbecue – A Celebration for All!
As our market stalls wrap up at the end of September, we bring everyone together for a fun and relaxing barbecue to celebrate the season’s hard work. It’s a great chance for all our amazing volunteers to enjoy good food, great company, and a well-earned break!

October: Apple Juice Making
Join us for a hands-on apple juice making session! Bring your own apples or help us harvest ours, then press them into fresh, delicious juice to share and enjoy. A fun, seasonal event for all ages! 🍏🍹

December: MMM day
Feeling the winter chill? Warm up with us at our MMM Day – Marshmallows, Mince Pies & Mulled Cider! ❄️✨ Join us for a festive Christmas gathering filled with good company, sweet treats, and seasonal cheer!
